About Caryn B. Davis
I have always had a deep appreciation for art and design. My inspiration comes from the world around me. It could be a modern skyscraper, an antique home, a wooden boat, a dry laid stonewall, a sculpture, an exquisite piece of furniture or garden. I am attracted to beauty in all its varied forms, and capturing it in an imaginative way that highlights its outstanding characteristics while honoring the creator’s concept and vision.
I specialize in architectural and landscape architectural photography, home decor, boats and travel. My clients include architects, designers, manufacturers and craftsmen, and commercial, hospitality and cultural properties. My career has taken me to over 50 countries. I often combine my images with words to create compelling articles that have been featured in more than 60 magazines. I am a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the Association of Independent Architectural Photographers.
My first photography book “A CONNECTICUT CHRISTMAS”, was recently published by the Globe Pequot Press. It was featured in the SUNDAY NEW YORK TIMES TRAVEL SECTION, and in 15 newspaper and magazine articles nationwide. I also appeared on WNPR’s ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, WTNH with Ann Nyberg, Fox 61 with Ben Goldman and WFSB’s Better Connecticut with Scot Haney, to discuss the wild success of my book, which I am happy to say is already its second printing.
